Raibrook Foundation Grant to Assist in Elementary Reading Programs
Washington Island Board of Education President Robert Cornell is pictured here receiving a check of $1100 from Elementary K-3 educator Mrs. Margaret Foss. Mrs. Foss applied to the Raibrook Foundation for a grant to assist in the school’s elementary reading programs last spring. With the award, the District has purchased several sets of the Fauntas and Pinnell reading series to be used in the elementary resource room and elementary classes.
