The Rock Island Ferry

Once you’re here, you can take the Karfi to visit beautiful Rock Island, Wisconsin’s only 900-acre state park, that is also an island! Tour the oldest lighthouse in these waters – Potowatomi – and other treasured sites on the Island.

(May to October only)

The Karfi dock at Jackson Harbor is a 9-mile drive from the main Island ferry dock at Detroit Harbor, and provides service for visitors to Rock Island.

Daily trips leave at 10 a.m., 1 pm and 4 p.m., May 22 through June 26 and Sept. 8 through Oct. 12, with extra trips Sat. and Sun. at 11 a.m., 12 Noon, and 2 p.m. During the peak months, from June 27 through Sept. 7, the ferry departs every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
